Secret Hitler is a party game that brings something a bit different than your typical night of charades. This game made an appearance every time we had more than 5 or 6 people during a get-together. It's easy to understand and hilarious when you play with the app, narrated by Wil Wheaton. I highly recommend downloading the app and using it for the game as it adds to the experience.

In Secret Hitler, the group is split into two teams, the liberals and the fascists, led by their fearful leader Hitler. No one knows what team the other players are on (except for the cheating fascists) and the game is spent trying to discover and kill Secret Hitler! Passing the role of President and electing (by majority vote) a chancellor, each team tries to pass a liberal or fascist policy. If too many policies of either side are passed, then that team wins. Or, if Hitler is elected Chancellor towards the end of the game, the fascists could also win.

Yes, this game heavily favors the fascists. However, the last few times we've played the liberals had some wins. What makes this game a lot of fun is the human dynamic. Seeing and reacting to how people act, accusations of fascism thrown about, and special powers when you become an elected official spice up the game. This game begins very quietly, but the cacophony of yelling quickly erupts after the first round of president and chancellor.

Help rid the world of Hitler! He hides among us!
